Flinthill Dogs

Flinthill at Crufts

Crufts is definitely Flinthill's favourite show! Flinthill-bred dogs have won awards every year we have entered for the past six years.

In 2011, Barbara Wilkinson's Flinthill Forget Me Not (Tia) not only won her mid limit class under gundog specialist Frank Kane but was awarded the bitch RCC out of an entry of more than 250 pointers. Our own Flinthill Daisychain won her strong postgraduate class and we were particularly proud that the final run-off for the RCC was between the two sisters.

Tia won Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts 2010 under pointer specialist Aidine Howes while Daisy and her brother Flinthill Monty Don were in the winning line-up for their classes.

In 2008, their mother, Sh Ch Flinthill Wild Thyme JW, won postgraduate bitch, the biggest class of the day, under pointer specialist Julia Organ. Her kennelmate, Flinthill Jenny Wren, won third place in a strong junior bitch class.

Thyme, like her daughter Tia, has also won the accolade Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts. She was awarded this in 2007 under pointer specialist Fran Barr.

In 2005, Thyme's mother, Wherathy Peters Present at Flinthill (Cleo) won her mid limit class under pointer specialist Ron Twyman while Cleo's son, Flinthill Sun King (Max) was third in puppy dog.

And Cleo's mother, Ch Calderside Love in a Mist at Wherathy, owned and handled by Helga Edmondson, was best veteran and Best of Breed, repeating her success four years earlier in 2001 when she went on to win the gundog group.
